About the collection

The following is a collection of art spanning over a decade.  Each piece has a foundation in  either acrylic, ink, or pencil, some are multi-colored, and others are gilded, silver, or black.  While many pieces have taken a handful of hours to complete, others have taken days/weeks/ and others years.  The collection is segmented into smaller parts such as Acrylic, Pencil, Black Gold collection, and more. The inked pieces make up my more recent work from the past 9 years. Initially I used only pencil and acrylic until one day I was both inspired by a Buddha statue and by one of my best friends.  At the time I was mainly working with acrylic paints, after the completion of my first inked piece I was encouraged to continue using ink, from that point on ink has been my medium of choice.

The ink work has been described as resembling thread or tiles, it has been called an optical illusion, beautiful like a sunset, some people have even said it makes their eyes hurt.  The series of dots, lines, swirls, and patterns, have even led someone to tell me that I am blessed, and another to tell me that I was crazy— at the later, I smile, it has been said that such a reflection is evidence that a person is doing their work.

Creating art is my work.
